______Mini Legends_____

The Mini Legend program is designed to prepare children for our competitive recreational swim team.  Our goal is to teach basic stroke technique in a safe, fun environment.

Qualifications:

· To be a Mini Legend, children must be 3 ½ -5 years of age.  Mini swimmers must be ready to participate in a group setting and follow directions.  Mini swimmers must be able to hold on and stay on the wall.  They must be comfortable in the water, able to put their face in and willing to front float.

· Any child who is 5 years or older and can swim 15 yards in the deep end and take a breath may be ready for the competitive team.  Swimmers will be evaluated during the first two weeks of the spring workouts.

Season:

· The season is 7 weeks long with practice beginning June 16^th and ending August 1st.

Meets

· At the coaches discretion, swimming in meets is optional for Mini Legends (must be ready to swim a lap on their own). Potential meets include:

o Meadow Mini Meet- July 20^th

o Sleepy Hollow B Invitational- July 27^th

Fee

· $300 includes T shirt, cap and social events.

Work Requirements

· Work 1 shift at the Sleepy Hollow “B”- July 27^th

· Work 1 social event
